Getting families around the dinner table for traditional, home-cooked food is at the heart of a restaurant soon to open in Sheringham.

Couple Jemma Taylor, 41, and Wayne Reeve, 52, are busy fitting out Reeves, which they plan to open on May 22 in Station Road.

Ms Taylor said they were excited about bringing something different to the town’s vibrant food scene.

She said: “Opening the restaurant is something we wanted to do as a family. Our ethos is all about bringing families together for good, home-cooked food, using local suppliers.

“This is something we’ve been thinking about for a while now - it was all about finding the right place for us and having the confidence to do it.”

Ms Taylor said they planned to offer breakfast and lunch and a specials menu which regularly changes.

“Between us we’ve got children of different ages, and when we go out, one teenage girl might want a salad, someone else wants a burger and so on.

"We want to be somewhere everyone can sit down together and order what they like.”

The couple moved to the area last year and plan to marry in 2024. Ms Taylor has been visiting the north Norfolk coast for holidays for many years.
