Superstar Lionel Richie played an open air concert to elated fans at Holkham Hall yesterday evening.

The singer performed some of his best loved tracks to an outdoor crowd who had paid between £75 and £275+ VAT for tickets.

Richie’s tour, All The Hits, marked a return to the UK for the star.

He said previously: “I’ve been missing the UK and can’t wait to make my long awaited return and to see parts of the country I’ve never made it out to before.

“The fans are always incredible and they make the atmosphere at every show electric, so I look forward to singing along with them soon.”

And judging by fan reactions on Twitter, Richie didn’t disappoint.

One fan exclaimed: “Can’t beat a bit of Lionel!”, while another said: “Bought tickets as a present for my mums birthday but have to admit I actually enjoyed it too!”

The event seemed to go smoothly and one fan complimented the venue’s input: ”We loved seeing Lionel Richie at Holkham he was great and the whole event was very well organised”.
