Last night I went to Sheringham Little Theatre for the opening night of the comedy farce Don’t Dress for Dinner written by Marc Camoletti.

The stage is small and space is limited, but the director Gillian King made an excellent job of setting a colourful scene depicting a farm house in France.

Six talented actors provided us with the hilarious and enjoyable comedic farce about Bernard (Banks) sending his wife off to her mother’s with the idea of entertaining his Parisian mistress! What could possibly go wrong?

Suzanne (Langton) plays Bernard’s mistress and Suzette (Verrier) the cordon bleu cook presented a funny, fast moving, and at times ‘tongue twister’ style script.

And adding Robert (Jamie) into the mix had the audience in laughter on numerous occasions. Bernard (Banks) displayed a confidence that highlighted his familiarity with his surroundings and Jacqueline (Bullock) was a notable link which brought the cast together.

Don’t Dress for Dinner will run until August 1. Call 01263 822347 or visit www.sheringhamlittletheatre.com to book tickets.
