Anticipation builds ahead of town’s annual beer festival

The organisers of the North Walsham Beer Festival are hoping to make this year’s event the best ever in its seven-year history.

Organised by the town's Round Table, the festival features beers and ciders from Norfolk's top breweries and musical entertainment including Ade Cockburn and the Floating Greyhounds.

Ed Margarson, from the Round Table, said: "Every penny raised benefits the local community.

"We have more sponsors than ever for 2019 and look forward to putting on our biggest event yet."

The festival, which takes place at the Scout Hut in Midland Road, starts at 6pm on Friday, August 2, and continues on Saturday from midday to 11pm.

Other musicians that are playing include acoustic folk artist Martin Day, the Lisa Martin Band, who play country, Hillbilly Goats Gruff and the Blackjacks.

The well-known local band Zarkov's Rocket will conclude proceedings by playing a range of party hits.
