It is one of the biggest weeks of the year in north Norfolk, with visitors travelling from far and wide.

And organisers of Cromer Carnival have revealed one of the event’s highlights - the Red Arrows - are set to return this summer.

The RAF aerobatic display team has confirmed it will perform in the town on Wednesday, August 16 - the main Carnival Day.

Carnival chairman Tony Shipp said: “We are very pleased to have the Red Arrows again. We did wonder if they would do it on a biennial basis, but we’ve been lucky to get them.

“Not only do they bring people into the carnival but it brings people into the town. People can watch anywhere along the coastline, promenade or pier. For the majority of people the Red Arrows are a highlight.”

Carnival week runs from August 12 to 18.
