Fall in! Don’t tell them your name, and help one of north Norfolk’s top tourist attractions celebrate 50 years of the acclaimed TV sitcom Dad’s Army.

Join Capt Mainwaring, Sgt Wilson, Cpl Jones and young Pike from the Thetford Dad’s Army Museum as they bring the Walmington-on-Sea platoon alive again at North Norfolk Railway’s Weybourne Station.

The fun event is on Sunday and Monday of the bank holiday weekend (May 27 and 28).

It also features the platoon transport, Jones’s converted butcher’s van, along with songs from the era by Timescape and Nessas’s NAAFI selling sandwiches, cakes and hot and cold beverages.

There is no public parking at Weybourne, so travel in by train from Sheringham or Holt.

New this year is the addition of a hand-operated pump trolley. For more details, see www.nnrailway.co.uk or call 01263 820800.
