World class pianist Maki Sekiya will be performing works by Ravel, Scriabin and Liszt at St Andrew's Church, Holt on May 12, as part of a concert being hosted by children's arts organisation Falcon.

Born in Tokyo, Maki began taking piano lessons at the age of four and gave her first public performance when she appeared on Japanese television aged 10.

The following year, she won a scholarship to the Purcell School of Music, near Watford, and during her time there performed at the St John's Smith Square venue, in London.

Maki went on to study in Russia at the Moscow State Conservatoire and has since won a number of international competitions,

with her performances broadcast on TV and radio in Russia and Japan.

Maki Sekiya will be performing at St Andrew's Church, Holt, on May 12 at 6.30pm. Tickets are free, with a retiring collection in aid of Falcon. For information on Falcon event, visit www.falcon-norfolk.org.uk
