Towns across north Norfolk are getting set to sparkle, with Christmas lights switch-on events lined up throughout November.
First to set the town a-twinkling will be Holt, where organisers will be staging a pantomime horse race as part of the festivities on November 15.
Horses and handlers will be lining up at 4.30pm on a stage set up in front of the town war memorial, for a 'first past the post' race up the high street and back.
Other attractions will include stalls and music, with the grand switch-on taking place at 6.30pm.
Sheringham's popular Christmas lights festival kicks off at 4.30pm on November 17, with an illuminated scooters, bikes and prams parade which was held for the first time last year in memory of Salvation Army stalwart Graham 'Jumbo' Curlew.
The festival will also include performances by Sheringham Little Theatre and youngsters from Sheringham Primary School, as well as late night shopping, food stalls and carol singing led by Sheringham Salvation Army band.
Former town and district councillor Hilary Nelson, whose late husband Tony was town crier for nearly 30 years, will be switching on the lights at 6.30pm.
The fun starts at Aylsham at 5.40pm on November 24, when Father Christmas will be leading a lantern procession from St Michael's School.
Town centre entertainment will include live music and dancing in the market place, with performances from the Bure Valley School Choir, local band Agent Orange and youngsters from the Sutton School of Dance.
Other attractions running in the lead-up to the switch-on at 6pm range from food stalls and a barbecue, to stalls, fairground rides, a Santa's Grotto in Red Lion Street and a display of 30 Christmas trees decorated by local charities and good causes in St Michael's Church.
At North Walsham on November 25 from 2.30pm-7pm, the town will be transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with festive food and drink, stalls, rides and a visit from Santa.
Norfolk county councillor Dave Rowntree, who is the drummer with the chart-topping band Blur, will be switching on the lights and there will be performances from North Walsham Salvation Army band and local acts Two's Company and Helen Bluebelle.
Last to light up will be Cromer, where Santa and his reindeer are heading to town on December 2 for a fun packed switch-on event.
As well as a Christmas market and Christmas tree festival running in the parish church, there will be market stalls in High Street, New Street and Garden Street and a Santa's grotto running in Cromer Parish Hall from midday-4pm.
The event starts at around 4pm, with the switch-on taking place at 5.30pm.
