The fantasy world of Alice in Wonderland will be coming to Horstead next week in the latest production from the village's Jubilee Players.

Between Wednesday, February 20 and Saturday, February 23 the players will be performing the production at The Tithe Barn.

The family shows will be held at 7.30pm each night and matinee performances will take place at 2.30pm on Friday and Saturday.

Tickets cost £6 for adults and £5 for concessions and children and they can be bought by ringing Carol White on 01603 737665.

Much-loved characters from Lewis Carroll's story will feature in the show alongside a collection of goodies and baddies.

Alice will be joined by the white rabbit, caterpillar, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, the guests at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party and the Queen of Hearts and her courtiers, all playing their part in bringing about a happy ending to the adventure.

Along the way the pantomime audience will meet Dame Milly Alice's mother; Wally the joker and his terrible jokes; the wizard of Muddleup Woods with his magic gold mine; the dastardly knave of spades who wants to take over Wonderland by marrying Princess Ruby of Hearts; and her true love, the Prince of Diamonds.

Come and find out what happens to Alice and all the other favourite characters by joining the Jubilee Players this half term.
