Sunskissed is a holiday comedy set on Mallorca and written by James Cawood, whose earlier work, the ghost story, Revival also made its debut in the seaside venue's summer drama line-up.

Theatre director Debbie Thompson said: 'We are so lucky to have another premiere of one of James' plays amid our season – which also has its usual popular mix of farce and thriller.'

It is the theatre's 59th season of summer drama, and a 14-strong cast will perform five plays in six weeks from July 25 to September 4.

Mrs Thompson said plans were already under way to make next year's diamond anniversary special.
