A group of Sheringham residents will be throwing open their garden gates on Sunday , as part of an annual trail aimed at raising cash for Norfolk and Waveney cancer charity Big C.

The event, which last year raised 2,000, has been organised by local fundraising stalwart Irene Buck, who has raised around 20,000 for Big C over the past 15 years by hosting sales, dances and auctions.

The trail, which runs from 11am-4pm, starts at 6 Suffolk Road, where tea, coffee, scones and ploughman's lunches will be served.

Residents at numbers 2 and 3 will be running games and a tombola, while other Suffolk Road gardens will be hosting book and bric a brac sales.

The open gardens trail ends at 38 Hocks Hill Road, where raffle tickets will be on sale, with prizes donated by local businesses. Entertainment will be provided by Sheringham morris dancers the Lobster Potties, who will be performing at 12 o'clock at 6 Suffolk Road.
