Roll up roll up, the circus is coming to Sheringham and will be providing entertainment from jugglers and acrobats to trapeze artists and sword balancing.

Acts from Russells International Circus, which does not use animals, will be showing off their skills in a family-friendly show at Cookie's car boot site between Wednesday, March 27 and Sunday, April 14.

A special fundraising show for the East Anglia's Children's Hospices, in particular the Quidenham centre, on Thursday, March 28 at 6pm.

Spectators should arrive at the show by 5.30pm and tickets for the charity show cost £5.

As well as supporting charity the circus will be putting on a separate show featuring Britney Spears tribute act Michaela Weeks at the Cookies site on Thursday, April 11 at 7pm.

Norfolk band The Wordsmiths, which plays modern pop and rock, and 16-year-old acoustic guitarist from Dereham, Ash Barton, will be included in the performance.

Early bird tickets booked before April 10 cost £8 and tickets bought on the night cost £10.

Clown Alex Morley, 23, grew up in Watton but joined Russells three years ago.

He said: 'We are shaking up the image of the circus with our use of lighting and sound.

'It is a chance for everybody to come and enjoy themselves. It is one of the cheapest forms of entertainment around and it is still as magical as it was all those years ago.'

The show includes 15 performers from Britain and abroad and includes a Romanian juggler who has reached the final of the television show Romania's Got Talent.

It is the fifth year Russells has come to Sheringham.
