Wow! What a class act Cromer and Sheringham Operatic and Dramatic Society have treated us to with Sister Act .

It's not everyday you get to see a performing convent of nuns Cromer-style dressed in wimples and habits belting out Sister Act's 70s style musical theatre numbers at the end of its pier, and this coastal cast certainly gave Whoopi Goldberg's film version a run for its money.

Sister Act revolves around Deloris - a sassy disco queen played by the brilliant and ballsy Claire Chandler - who hides with the sisters after witnessing her gangster boyfriend commit murder.

Claire hits all the right notes, and gets her soul sisters swinging and singing from the Pavilion Theatre's rafters

As the cast and audience alike warmed up, the fun factor flowed, from the trio of slapstick gangster stooges and naughty nuns to the sweet sweaty Eddy.

Mother Superior was a perfect casting and her apprentice nun's solo brought the house down - surely she must be destined for stardom .

Thank you Sister Act for bringing the West End to Cromer. It will be a hard act to follow .
