Music fans will have a spring in their step this May after Cromer's much-loved annual Folk on The Pier festival will return for the 15th year.
The three-day event, which attracts about 3,000 people, will take place over the weekend of May 10-12 at the Pavilion Theatre and several venues around the town.
Some of the UK's top folk and acoustic artists will perform at the festival, including the Joe Broughton's Conservatoire Folk Orchestra (main picture).
The 40-piece orchestra which showcases young talent will close the show.
Over the years, Folk on The Pier has attracted international acts, especially Breton musicians, and this year one of Brittany's top folk rock bands Sonerien Du will make a rare appearance outside of western France.
The seven piece band has recently been celebrating its 40th anniversary and will headline the Saturday night concert.
The festival will start on Friday with both afternoon and evening concerts headlined by two multi award-winning acts – guitarist Martin Simpson and Devon's sons Show of Hands.
Organiser Scott Butler said: 'I am delighted at the response to this year's main festival programme and I have to say it's especially exciting to have a legendary band from Brittany making such a rare appearance in the UK, as well as Joe Broughton's 40 piece youth orchestra which will be the largest act ever to appear at the festival. The icing on the cake will of course be the Fairport Convention band spending the whole Sunday working on the end of Cromer Pier. They were the spark that ignited the festival 15 years ago and they have always kept a close association with Cromer ever since.'
He added: 'I'm sure all the guys are going to folk rock our faithful audience and make it a weekend to remember.'
