The descendant of two well-established north Norfolk families will be giving a talk on his work as a missionary in Argentina.

The Rt Rev David Leake, who is now retired, will be giving the talk this Saturday in East Runton Village Hall from 7pm. He was invited to speak by the Runton Parish History Society.

Bishop David spent his early years growing up with the native Toba children, an ethnic South American group.

After he was ordained he returned to South America and became Bishop of Northern Argentina in 1979. He was on close terms to the man who became Pope Francis this year.
