The latest production from The Jubilee Players is the heartwarming and poignant seaside comedy, Sandcastles, by Bob Larbey, writer of television comedies, such as The Good Life and As Time Goes By.

It will be performed at the Tithe Barn from Wednesday to Friday, October 29-31, at 7.30pm.

We all like to be beside the seaside, and as everyone knows, an Englishman's home is his castle. The genteel Pattersons and the brash Billets have been taking their holidays in the same resort for years. They don't exactly rule the waves but they have turned the area around their beach huts into a cosy little fiefdom. Then along comes Doug with his delectable bikini-clad nieces and a band of protesting women from lower down the beach. The peace is shattered but the fun begins!

Tony Hall, EDP cartoonist, has drawn a special seaside cartoon to be raffled during production week. Raffle tickets will be on sale at each performance, with the draw taking place on the last night. Money raised will be donated to research into Motor Neurones disease.

All tickets will be £6, available from 01603 737665.
