The frothy, frivolous music of the 1930s will be recalled in a chic evening at Sheringham Little Theatre on March 10.

De Lovely is a celebration of timeless melodies such as Cheek to Cheek, You're the Top, I Won't Dance and My Funny Valentine.

A showcase of the work of great songwriters from the era including George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter, the show, with its blend of romantic and playful music, will be performed with period flair by Julie Hewitt and David Rees from Norfolk-based Dreamcast Productions.

Julie said: 'It was such a beautiful era, the clothes were elegant, the music was sublime and people were determined to enjoy life.'

De Lovely runs at Sheringham Little Theatre on March 10 at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £10, are available from the box office on 01263 822347 or from www.sheringhamlittletheatre.com
