The Sheringham Savoyards' updated version of the classic production is set between the wars and tells the tale of newly-betrothed Alexis and his desire to see his fellow villagers united in love.

As friends and neighbours gather to celebrate Alexis's happy news, he employs a representative from a respected firm of London sorcerers to administer a love potion at the forthcoming wedding banquet. But invoking the powers of the supernatural is a risky business...

Directed by Malcolm Poore, The Sorcerer features Jonathan Starling in the title role, with Patrick Monk as Alexis and musical direction from Karen Smith. It runs nightly at 7.30pm (2.30pm matinee on Saturday) at the Little Theatre and, in a special fundraising concert version, at Mannington Hall at 6.30pm on Sunday, June 21.
