The smell of steam will mingle with the fresh spring air at North Norfolk Railway's first gala event of the year.
The heritage railway is hosting its Spring Gala from Friday, April 5 to Sunday, April 7, with a special guest locomotive, the Caledonian Railway No. 419, to steam alongside the resident locomotives.
Many of the railway's historic rolling stock sets will be running throughout the weekend of fun sure to delight photographers, steam enthusiasts and day-trippers alike.
Hot and cold food and drink will be available from the refreshment rooms at Sheringham, Weybourne and Holt stations. Vintage stalls will be selling a variety of books, pictures, photographs and vintage ephemera in the Holt Institute. The Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway Society bookshop will be open at Weybourne along with souvenir shops on all main stations. Visit www.nnrailway.co.uk for more.
