British and international musicians will fill a Norfolk country church with beautiful harmonies to the mark the 30th anniversary of a programme championed by Prince Charles.

The Church of St Peter and St Paul in Salle, near Reepham, is hosting Music in Country Churches concerts on Tuesday, July 24 and Wednesday, July 25. Performers will include the English Chamber Orchestra Strings, violinists Chloe Hanslip and Benjamin Baker and the Skampa Quartet.

Roger Fry, Salle church warden, said the concerts were a brilliant way of celebrating something that began in Salle and had brought music to country churches across East Anglia and the West Country.

He said: “The Prince of Wales is the patron, and the inaugural concert was held here. It has been 30 years of bringing high-quality music to country parishes.”
