Oil paintings by Roughton artist Karen Rowlands which show off the Norfolk landscape are on display at North Norfolk District Council's headquarters in Cromer.

Thirty pieces of art, priced between £100 and £300, are on show in the public art gallery space until Monday March 11.

The free exhibition called Coast and Country includes many new paintings of the north Norfolk coast and countryside.

Her detailed paintings cover a variety of subjects from Stiffkey round to the Broads.

Karen studied at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design and Loughborough College of Art and Design and her fascination of the Norfolk landscape has developed over 25 years into a love of the county's coast and countryside.

North Norfolk District Council seeks to offer opportunities to local artists to display their work in the well-lit first-floor gallery area in its Holt Road offices.

The space provides staff and visitors to the building the opportunity to see a variety of different artists' work. Currently six exhibitions are held each year.
