Cley's pantomime stars are hoping to use their acting skills to raise money for north Norfolk families at a special charity performance tomorrow.

The town's amateur dramatics society is staging four performances, starting tonight, of Little Red Riding Hood at Cley Village Hall on The Fairstead.

Tomorrow's performance will be in aid of North Norfolk Radio's Families First appeal, which awards grants to groups and individuals across the district, and the company hopes to raise hundreds of pounds by donating a proportion of the night's ticket sales to the charity.

Each year the group chooses a good cause to support - previous recipients have included Glaven Caring, Kelling Hospital and the East Anglian air ambulance.

Anne Pegg, who plays Granny Hood, said she hoped an appearance by one of North Norfolk Radio's presenters would help to boost audience numbers and raise even more money for Families First. Graham Lewis, from the station's drive-time slot, will demonstrate his acting skills in all four performances.

All tickets for Friday's charity panto, which begins at 8pm, are 6.

Tickets for the evening shows tonight and Saturday, at 8pm, and also Saturday's matinee performance, starting at 3pm, are 6 for adults and 3 for children.

Tickets can be bought on the door or are available in advance from Made In Cley by calling 01263 740134.
