An extra serving of a big breakfast event is being served up at Aylsham, to introduce people to the international Slow Food movement.

The local Slow Food group includes a Big Slow Breakfast in its annual food festival, but has decided to add another - on Sunday February 7 - as a 'get to know you' event.

Group leader Liz Jones said: 'We thought this year we would help banish the winter blues with an earlier, additional event, also giving people the chance to discover what Slow Food is all about."

The traditional English breakfast, with a vegetarian option, will be at 11am in the Friendship Hall in Aylsham.

It will feature locally-produced ingredients and be prepared by Slow Food members. Tickets cost 4 or 14 for a family of four with two children under 12, and are available from Salad Days fruit and vegetable stall in Aylsham's Market Square. Numbers for this event are strictly limited so early booking is advisable.
