The works of these three art visionaries-Marc Chagall, Eric Gill and Brian Whelan - grace the walls of Doric Arts gallery in Holt for the winter season.

Aside from his stained glass windows throughout the world, Chagall (1886-1985) is also known for his lyrical ceilings in the Paris Opera House. Gill (1882-1940) is famous for both his erotic engravings and his clean carvings of the Stations of the Cross for Westminster Cathedral. Like Gill, Whelan (1957- ) can depart from the sacred of his paintings in religious institutions to design rock' n' roll covers for the likes of Shane McGowan and The Popes.

Doric Arts' collection entails a selection of these men's etchings, lithographs and paintings. Not all the work at the gallery take on colourful religious themes.

The exhibition runs until January 31.
