MORE than 150 youngsters at a North Norfolk dance school have been rehearsing for a show at Cromer Pier which will help mark the 20th birthday of the school where they are taught.
Marlene's School of Dancing, on Louden Road in Cromer, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and the Let's Dance 2009 show at the Pavilion Theatre will play a key part in highlighting the landmark.
The pier show will feature 160 children and young adults aged from three to 20, plus a possible appearance of Marlene's twin daughters Polly and Sophie, currently dancing on a world tour with the Pet Shop Boys.
The show runs on Saturday at 7.30pm and on Sunday at 2.30pm and will feature a mix of ballet, modern jazz, hip-hop, salsa, tap and much more.
On November 28, there will be an evening ball with buffet and cabaret at Northrepps Cottage Country Hotel for past and present pupils of the dance school of all ages.
The school has built a strong reputation for putting people on the stage, many of them taking parts in Cromer's Christmas and Summer Seaside Special shows.
