ROCK bands and a memorabilia auction will help raise money for children with special needs at North Walsham's annual Live Aid event this Saturday, March 29, from 8pm to 1am.
Lick the Dice, Spot, Mamma's Dream, Raw Edge and Gene Pool will play at the community centre during the evening, which will also feature an auction of more than 20 items, including photographs signed by Ozzy Osbourne, Pete Townsend, Mick Jagger, Bob Geldof and sports stars such as Gerrard, Torres, Ronaldo and Coulthard.
Profits from the event, organised by musician and local businessman Barry Holden, will go to the Norwich-based Hamlet Centre Trust to buy sensory equipment for use in special needs schools and homes throughout Norfolk.
Tickets cost £8 from North Walsham shops The Music Hut, Postles and Zelley Jewellery. The past three Live Aid events have raised nearly £12,000 for needy children.
