The Yachtsmen ran out winners by the odd goal in nine at The Walks last week in this dress rehearsal for next month's Norfolk Senior Cup final at Carrow Road.

The visitors raced into a three goal lead within 30 minutes of the start. Andy Key took advantage of some slack home defensive play and Danny Self ran half the length of the pitch before rifling the ball beyond a helpless Tom Rix. Kevin Leggert nodded beyond his own keeper before Kyle Nicholls broke the Linnets' duck. Key completed his hat-trick early in the second half but the plucky home side never gave up, with Nicholls getting his hat-trick and a stunning Rory Harper free-kick ensuring that things always remained interesting.
