Wroxham entertain Norwich United tomorrow night (7.45) in what is expected to be an exciting semi-final between two local rivals in the Norfolk Senior Cup.

The Yachtsmen have a clear intent of returning to Carrow Road - the scene of their dismal surrender to Dereham Town in last season's final.

The form book suggests that this season's ultimate showdown will again bring these two cup leviathans squaring up on the hallowed turf.

However, Wroxham manager Damian Hilton is under no illusions that tomorrow's opposition will be in no way a push-over and points to a recent league game result when the Planters beat Dereham Town at Aldiss Park.

“These cup ties are all about accepting there are seldom any second chances. Generally there's just one opportunity to beat your opponents and failure simply directs the losers to the door marked exit,” warned Hilton.

“We have to apply ourselves to the task and concentrate. But I am happy to say we shall have Gary Gilmore back from suspension and on Saturday Lee Gilman returned to put in a creditable effort even though he was slightly ring rusty.

“In addition our former Canary, Alex Notman, is fairly chirpy again after recovering from his foot injury. That means we shall be engaging Norwich United in this important cup semi-final close to full strength with only Graham Challen still out of action while recovering from his industrial injury.”
