North Norfolk Wheelers, on a hot, windy summer evening, saw 21 cyclists meet on the A148 outside Sheringham to do battle against the clock in a 10-mile time trial.

They all completed the course in well under 29 minutes, and 15 did it in a personal best or season best time. It was an astonishing achievement which reflects the beneficial effect of the weather and the physical and mental fitness of the riders.

On a drive around the highways and byways of north Norfolk on any evening you will pass at least one of the time trialists practicing the Japanese art of Kaizen, or continuous improvement, so the remainder of the season is sure to see a high level of personal bests achieved.
