One of the oldest bowls clubs in north Norfolk is in Southrepps. It is a small but thriving club with up to 30 loyal members, who enjoy the sport on a summer's afternoon or evening once or twice a week.

Like other clubs they are always looking for new members - girls and boys, ladies and men, singles or couples, beginners or experienced players.

To give bowls a try this summer go along between 1-2pm prior to the club's annual meeting on Saturday, March 27 and arrange a date to try the sport for free when the green opens in late April. The club can lend equipment and give some coaching. Or go down one afternoon (including Sundays) when the club is open, where you can have a few practice goes.

Look out for the open day announcement in the coming weeks which will give another opportunity to call in at the club, which is situated at the end of the recreation ground behind the Village Hall. There is a car park available at the end of the lane, opposite the club gates.

Or you can contact Frank Lambert any time at, Silver Birches The Street, Knapton or call on 01263 721829.
