Eight intrepid souls will be taking part in one of the UK's hardest challenges - the Three Peaks Challenge.

This involves climbing the three highest peaks in the UK in a 24 hour period and also includes some 450 miles of driving between peaks all in aid of charity, Epilepsy research UK.

The three peaks are Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scaffell Pike (England) and Snowden (Wales).

The party of eight concerned are Barry Foulser, Keith Wisdom, John Mezzetti, Samantha Hicks, Sharon Jones, Jenny Armstrong, Jeremy Boreham and Matt Copeman.

They will be supported by two designated drivers Alan Lamb and Sharon Grant for the trip on June 21.

The whole trip is being funded by each individual and not from donations.

As part of their training seven of the eight took part in The Three Peaks of Yorkshire which involved a 24 mile course (incorporating the three highest peaks in Yorkshire namely Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent).

After most of the group battled with personal demons, blisters and pulled muscles a most creditable time of 11 hours 15 minutes was attained finishing at 6.05pm.

On Saturday, June 7, most of those taking part in the challenge will be at the front of the Morrisons Store in Cromer training on various pieces of equipment.

w Copeman and a friend will be also be completing the Coast to Coast bike ride some time in July where they will attempt to complete the 136 miles in a single day.
