Runton United maintained their proud record in the Cromer Lifeboat Cup when they beat Holt Reserves 5-0 in the final at Cabbell Park on Monday.
Runton now hold the competition record after recording their fifth consecutive win.
The game was played in front of a large appreciative crowd. Runton took the initiative from the kick-off and after 11 minutes took the lead after a defensive error and added to their total with two further goals, with Holt unfortunate to have one disallowed for offside. Runton then scored on the stroke of half-time to make it comfortable.
Holt came out in the second half and started to pressurise the Runton defence but were unable to get thorough. Runton then went on to add to their total and lift the trophy. The match was easily controlled by referee Dave Lewiss and assistants Leon Howard and Paul Lee, with the two teams making this an easy match to officiate.
