The final quarter-final of this season's Cromer Lifeboat Cup took place at Cabbell Park on Monday night, with Runton beating Aylsham Reserves 3-1.

Both teams were a credit to the competition, especially a young Aylsham team who impressed a large crowd.

After 20 minutes of end-to-end football Aylsham took the lead with a stunning goal but they only held on for 10 minutes and Runton went on to score a second just before half-time. Straight after the interval Runton scored their third goal to take them through to the last four where they will meet Southrepps. The match was well refereed by Rob Emery.

The first semi-final between Gimingham and Holt Reserves takes place at Cabbell Park on Monday (6.45pm).

The previous Tuesday saw a re-arranged match, with Gimingham beating North Walsham Reserves 3-0 to reach the last four. The game had been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
