Fastest of all was the astonishing Paul Muffett. Paul finished eighth in a field of 300 winning his age group by nearly five minutes with a time of 1-19:28 and setting a new course record for the 50+ age group.
So fast was Paul's run that he was able to lead the Beach Runners veteran team to victory, the other runners being John Christopher, Richard Blake and the rejuvenated Clive Hedges, who finished together in just under 90 minutes.
The Cromer club had six runners in the top 24 with Rob Kett going well for 10th place in a time of 1-20:29 and new recruit Phil Quantrill 13th in 1-22:10.
Chris Merrylees is now close to returning to his best form after injury and came in an excellent 16th with Richard Blake, another Yarmouth recruit coming 22nd.
Dena Parfitt tuned up well for London by finishing as first lady in a comfortable 1-26:23, also breaking the course record for her age group.
Trevor Emery had a good strong run to finish 76th.
