SEVERAL North Norfolk Beach Runners took advantage of a gap in the Norfolk race calendar to race further afield.
Mike Sadler travelled to Dublin to take part in the Dublin Marathon, running the race to raise much-needed funds for the Sheringham Scouts.
Despite testing conditions during the race and a poor night's sleep before, Mike still managed an impressive time of 3-20:49 to finish 859th in a field of over 11,000.
Rob and Karen Emery took in the Golden Gate 10k on a recent visit to San Francisco, Rob finishing the wonderfully scenic race in 47:34, Karen a little further back in 1-11:52.
Not content with that, Rob then went to Wales the following weekend to run in the notoriously quick and flat Cardiff Half Marathon. With a certain amount of jet-lag in his legs, he still managed a highly respectable 1-47:08.
Nearer home Brenda Kinch returned to old haunts for the Watford Joggers Autumn Challenge, continuing her impressive season with first place in her age group and a very useful time of 44:01 for the five mile course.
