Following their sterling performance pushing league leaders Chingford all the way last week North Walsham Vikings take to the road on Saturday for a visit to Ruislip.

The Middlesex side currently sit 11th in the table but well clear of the relegation zone having lost their last three games.

They have not played for nearly a month as their scheduled meeting with Eton Manor last weekend was cancelled due to their hosts' pitch being waterlogged so they could be a bit ring rusty.

The Vikings' record against them is good, with wins in four of the last five meetings including a resounding 62-19 win back in September, having been five points adrift at half-time but storming home with a devastating second half.

As is generally the case the side will show changes from last week. Prop Dane Canning, who made his first start of the season against Chingford following shoulder surgery and played the full 80 minutes is unable to travel but Will Swart is back from a trip home. He should come in at hooker with Tom Browes moving to prop.

If there were no injuries then the remains of the pack could be unchanged although flanker Tom Knight, who was unavailable for the Chingford game, and prop Tim Weber, who proved his fitness with the Raiders at Diss, will be in contention.

In the back line coach James Brooks will have decisions to make as Mike Braans also returns from holiday and wing Tom Younie will have recovered from the illness that sidelined him last week.

The Raiders, who had a good win at Diss Saracens last week, travel across the city to play Norwich Medics in the final game before the fixture list is redrawn, with games against teams from the West and South divisions.

They are likely to have few changes although if Tim Weber moves up Canning could be his replacement. Hooker Aaron Beaumont is unavailable so the slot could go to either Liam Clarke or long serving Mark McCall.

Wing Will Minchin was sidelined for the latter stages of the Diss game with an ankle injury and could miss out but Rob King, who was called up to the Vikings bench, could step in.

The Warriors, whose game failed to go ahead last week due to an administration error, are due to visit Norwich.
