Twelve members of a north Norfolk rifle club - almost half its membership - have been selected for international target rifle shooting teams.

The dozen, all from Gresham's Rifle Club, based at the Holt school, have been chosen for English and Welsh teams in the British Schools Smallbore Rifle Association annual Home International match.

Shooting for Wales is Chloe Evans who started in the sport little over a year ago and was runner-up in the British U16 championship.

Over half the 12-strong England A team are Gresham's Rifle Club members. They are Gareth Davies, Ed and Roland Johnson, Matthew Purdy, Robert Stilgoe, Giles Strong and Arnold Wong.

Three other GRC shooters are in the England C and D teams. Francesca Purdy has been selected for the former, with Henry Green and Henry Howard in the latter.
