On a cold, sunny, windy Sunday morning the North Norfolk Wheelers had their first time trial of the season.
It is apparent to any user of Norfolk's roads that cycling is increasing in popularity but the turnout for this season's first 10 mile time trial exceeded all expectations.
A grand total of 41 club members and guest riders met to test themselves on the Horsford route – up considerably from the previous record turnout of 28 riders.
Charlie Nurse has trained really well over the difficult winter months and hit the ground sprinting and put in a personal best of 22m 43s – a tremendous achievement on the first outing of the season.
If this trend continues this season will be the most successful and competitive ever for the Wheelers.
