North Walsham 0 Wymondham 3

In a game that they expected to get something from, North Walsham lost 3-0 to Wymondham to slip down to second from bottom in the Anglian Combination Premier Division.

Kelly, Robertson, Edwards and Kerry were all unavailable so in came Ward, Crosby, who was making his second first team start of the season and Trevatt, making his firstteam debut.

Town had chances in the first half but lacked composure and went in 2-0 down at the break despite a very good performance from P Payne.

The second half was much the same and despite a solid debut for Trevatt at centre back, the home side conceded again to lose 3-0.

Managers' Wardle and Underwood took charge in Cork's absence and commented: 'We played well at times, but need more composure in front of goal as we had at least five good chances to score and we should be taking those sort of chances at this level.'

Adam Plumstead, Warren Williams and substitute Brad Rivett scored the Wymondham goals.

On another warm match day, North Walsham dominated the game in terms of possession, chances and, in the end, goals.

For the first hour the Angels passed the ball around well but weren't clinical enough in the final third. Two of the worst misses came from Leigh Payne, who missed an open goal from the edge of the box and Joe Edge, who shot tamely into the keeper's grateful hands, when inside the six yard box after a low cross from Charlie Harkness.

Blofield then scored the only chance they created all day, with their striker finishing well from an acute angle.

Walsham responded immediately as substitute Alex Dyball got through one-on-one and scored with a well-placed chip over the Blofield keeper. The winning goals soon followed.First Sam Fitt hooked the ball inwith a sideways volley following a neat chest down from Payne, to score from the edge of the box and then Dyball poked home a loose ball in the six-yard area.

The teams man of the match award went to Charlie Harkness, who caused problems for Blofield's defence all game. .

Town remain unbeaten and look forward to playing at Greens Road on Saturday against fellow high fliers Mulbarton
