Alec Frazer of the North Norfolk Beach Runners, coming back from injury, scooped the 1st M70 prize in the Valentines 10K on Sunday clocking 53:17. Eight other Beach Runners joined Alec on this slightly undulating course where thawed icy roads and a temperature of 6C made good running conditions. Jim Hayes led the club home in 43:58 but only managed 3rd in the M60 category and was closely followed by Maria Greaves in 44:30. Husband and wife team of the Osborne's came in within a minute and half of each other respectively with Andi being 2nd in the F55 age group in 49:53. Tony Heath 50:25, Noel Spruce 51:42 and Keith Dickens 51:50 all put in good runs followed by Mike Marshall who was pushed into second place in the M70 category by Alec Frazer.

The previous weekend only four Beach Runners made it in the snowy and icy conditions to the Reepham 10K Cross Country race. Terry Quigley was first in the M60 category in 53:34 with Eddie Carmen coming back from injury clocking a very credible 57:13 to come in 13th. New members Carmine and Jenny de Grandis ran together in 1-10:50
