Newly formed North Norfolk Hockey Club ready for the big kick-off

The new North Norfolk Hockey Club got their debut season off to a flying start with a successful fun day at Cromer Sports Centre.
England Hockey's Hockey Nation initiative is all about getting people involved in hockey and a lot of people certainly did just that.
Formed as a merger of North Walsham and Holt Harlequins, the event was about bonding as well as inviting new players to get involved.
The morning session for the Under-13s was well attended with over 30 children participating in the tournament and skill games demonstrating some really good potential and that the club has a really good future.
The adults' tournament in the afternoon was graced by a healthy turn-out with many new faces across all abilities. Anyone wanting to get involved in the club, regardless of ability , should contact the club, who are always looking to grow their membership.

The opportunity was taken to formally introduce the new kit sponsored by Butcher Andrews Solicitors and JMS Contractors to all players.
The women and the men r will be competing at their highest ever levels this season but there are a range of teams to suit players of all abilities.

The club will lend a stick if you're interested and it's never too late to get involved.
The women's first team are particularly looking for new players, having lost some key individuals this season to university, injury and pregnancy. The contact point is info@northnorfolkhockey.co.uk
Training takes place on Monday nights at Cromer Sports Centre, 6.20pm for under-13s and 7.30pm for over 13s and adults.
The club's opening fixtures in the East League are on Saturday.
The women's first team are at home to Blueharts in Division One North, while the men travel to Norwich Dragons in Division Two North.
