The Eastern Shotokan Karate Association competed in the United Kingdom Traditional Karate Federation's national karate competition at Thornton Cleveleys Sports Centre, near Blackpool.

The Eastern Shotokan Karate Association competed in the United Kingdom Traditional Karate Federation's national karate competition at Thornton Cleveleys Sports Centre, near Blackpool.

With a squad of 43 junior competitors, ESKA triumphed with an astounding total of 51 medals, including a staggering 22 gold medals and winning 11 National Championship events.

One of ESKA's students, Jessica Myhill, 14 from Aylsham who was recently awarded the ESKA competitor of the day cup at the in-house competition went on to be awarded the Kawasoe Cup, for her exceptional performance on the day, winning four gold medals. This is the second time in the Myhill family history that the cup has been awarded, Jessica's brother Daniel was presented with it three years ago.
