AFTER a gutsy and determined performance Holt came back from title-chasing Acle United with a well-earned point.
There was early pressure from the home team but Holt's back four were rarely troubled.
Holt's Matthew Sanders broke clear but he dragged his shot wide. The home team than began to have a period of intense pressure and very nearly went in front when Melo took a 30-yard shot but it was tipped onto the bar and over by Justyn Goff.
Two minutes into the second half Toby Blowers broke through on the left and saw his lob just fly wide. Holt then came under extreme pressure as the Acle team stepped up their efforts. But with James Medlar, Gavin Neale, Chris English and Matthew Jordan looking as solid as a rock, the home team never created a worthwhile chance. When they did get through Goff was in fine form. Then a long through-ball found Blowers who turned his marker to score a sensational goal from 30 yards.
The hosts were awarded a penalty, netted by James Foreman. The point was just reward for Holt's hard work.
