Nine man Holt endured another heavy defeat in their latest Norfolk League encounter, losing by 10 wickets away to Drayton after being dismissed for just 82.

Holt won the toss and chose to bat first. Holt got off to a solid start, with Chapman and Thaxter putting on a 29 run partnership.

But they were dealt setbacks in quick succession, as Chapman (16) was bowled by Talukdar (1-12) and then Thaxter (8) bowled by Jadhav.

Collyer and D Rutterford were then in the middle looking to rebuild Holt's innings and they put on 15 runs together before Collyer (6) was caught and bowled by Jadhav (2-25).

Faherty was next in, on his Holt debut, with the visitors 57-3, before D Rutterford (16) was caught and bowled by Mario-Ghae.

Holt lost two further wickets not long after as J Rutterford (2) and P Buttle were dismissed in quick succession by Mario-Ghae (3-16).

Faherty was playing a good battling knock for Holt and had resistance at the other end from Barrell as the visitors were looking to get to a second batting point.

Faherty and Barrell (2 not out) helped Holt get to 82, before Faherty (22) was bowled by Ramaiah. Mears was then bowled by Ramaiah (2-3) to leave Holt all out for 82 in the 30th over.

After the interval, Holt went in pursuit of early wickets with opening bowlers Thaxter and Collyer. Drayton's openers Woods and Wright started off slowly against some tidy bowling, but were never threatened.

Holt needed wickets, so the captain Chapman went about changing the bowlers around to see if anyone could provide at least a breakthrough, but despite the best efforts from Mears, Faherty and J Rutterford, Drayton's openers Woods and Wright batted well, offering Holt no chances, and sealed a very comfortable ten-wicket victory for Drayton in the 23rd over. Woods was 34 not out, with Wright 25 not out.

Holt remain bottom of the table and they face Beetley in their next league encounter at home.

It was a disappointing afternoon for Happisburgh and Overstrand in Division One.

Sandringham sit clear in the runners-up spot after Callum Lee's 5-20 proved too much for Happisburgh, who were dismissed for 90. Overstrand were beaten by eight wickets at Felthorpe, despite David Yarham's 92 helping them to 180-9
