In its first year of competition the Colts team won the South and Eastern Division of the IAPS hockey tournament, held at Hailebury School.

Their first pool matches resulted in three straight wins against Chigwell 3-0, St Martins 9-0 and Woodforde Grove 3-0.

In the winners' qualifying pool Gresham's beat Brandeston Hall 3-0, Culford 1-0 and a very strong Kent College side 1-0.

These victories qualified Gresham's for a semi-final match against South Lee School, who were beaten 2-0.

In a tense final against The Abbey, Gresham's became divisional champions.

They now play in the national finals.

Charles May and Alfie Agnew played to very high standard throughout while goalkeeper David Wiley (no goals conceded), Kieron Ordish and Harry Simmons impressed the spectators.

The Boys' Norfolk Mini Hockey Championships were held at Gresham's School and featured matches between the best U11 teams in Norfolk.

Gresham's and Beeston Hall won their respective pools and semi-finals and met in the final. David Wiley again kept a clean sheet throughout the day. Gresham's, in winning the title for the seventh consecutive time, now play in the East divisional final which will be held in April. If successful they will qualify for the national finals in May.
