Walsham were missing six regular first team players against undefeated then midway through the first half centre defence stalwart Jo Hadley cut open her knee and went to the hospital.

Competitive and strong defending from Walsham kept the score down. The first half saw Walsham concede three times in quick succession.

The second half was again dominated by Dragons. A good save from the Walsham keeper from a penalty strike, strong team defending and the maintaining of good team spirit in the face of adversity saw only one goal conceded in the half from open play. Walsham showed how their strong defensive play and team spirit has stood them in good stead in their first year of promotion.

Team: Emily Waldron, Jo Hadley, Julie Mercer, Min Tallowin, Nicky Pye, Ellen Vanlint, Jane Delph, Fiona Spencer, Tiffany Sands, Jenny Marshall, Mary Cheeseman, Bobby Pye.
