North Walsham Hockey Club's season opener will be held on the all-weather pitch at Sheringham High School on Saturday, September 4, as work continues on their home pitch at Cromer.
The wet weather and unanticipated work required to the base has caused delay to the resurfacing work currently being carried out at Cromer Sports Centre/High School so the club has moved the season opener to nearby Sheringham.
It is hoped that the Cromer pitch will be ready for the start of the league campaign on September 18.
Interruptions are expected to Monday evening training sessions which were due to commence on September 6 and may not be possible until September 20.
Members - current and potential -and interested parties are encouraged to check the club website for the latest arrangements northwalshamhockey.co.uk or contact Jo Todd on 01692 404440 or at nwhc@hotmail.co.uk
The season opener is the first opportunity for members of NWHC and any hockey players interested in joining and playing in one of the club's seven teams to pick up their sticks and enjoy some hockey.
