Panthers went marching on at the top of the Premier Division of the Marshall Motor Group Norfolk League when they hammered visitors Watton II 16-0.

Credit must go to Watton for coming to this fixture against the league leaders with only 10 players.

Panthers were on fire and all thoughts were centred on winning the game and scoring as many goals as possible to match the goal difference of the UEA, who they play next.

It really was one-way traffic for the entire game and Panthers went into half-time 10 goals up. The second half was much the same, with Panthers scoring six more goals.

Panthers' goalscorers were Zoe Gotts 4, Gail Rudd 3, Gemma Rolph 3 and Helen Morter 3 with captain Rachel Mayes, Katie Barnard and Lou Longhorn all adding one each.

n Enforced changes over the last few weeks have meant that Reepham have had to change their squad and introduce some young players to compete in the league. These young girls are settling in and rising to the challenge. On Saturday they stepped up another level and produced their best performance to date against a young Harleston V side before going down 2-1. It was Reepham who went in at half-time with a fully deserved 1-0 lead. The goal came from a short corner strike inside the near post from Michelle Lain after a neat lay-off from young Becky Briggs.

Reepham were slow to restart the second half and Harleston punished them with two quick goals. As the half went on Reepham once more came back into this game and were unlucky not to grab a point.

n North Walsham lost 4-2 at Yarmouth in the East League while North Walsham II went down 4-0 at Norwich City III.
