GOLF: The Old Laggs have been staying at The Links Hotel every year for the past 20 years, coming from all over the world previously, but this year just from England and Scotland.
They wanted to celebrate the occasion by challenging a team from the Links Country Park Golf Club at West Runton to a match which took place last Friday in glorious sunshine.
The Links won the specially-commissioned trophy by nine holes.
Earlier that morning, one of their members, Rob Bunbury had a hole-in-one on the seventh hole, and he was presented by the club with a framed certificate to mark his achievement.
They presented The Links with a pennant of their society which now hangs in the Fairways clubhouse. Added to this they also made a donation to the Big C Norfolk and Waveney's Cancer Charity, which is the Links captains' chosen charity for 2011.
