A clutch of fighters from Cromer's Fighting Fit Martial Arts brought home a host of trophies medals form a contest, after being inspired at a seminar with a former champion.

The 11 fighters took part in the contests at Boston in lincolnshire on January 22, having watched the seminar by ex-UFC fighter Dean Amisinger at their home gym on Louden Road, Cromer.

The team consisting of Ian Wynn, Joel Smithson, Sam Spencer, Charlie Verrier, Will Mason, Daniel Cooper, Henry Mezzetti, Kieran Cooper, Ben Hicks, George Mason and James Cooper all competed in the mixed martial arts category.

With some very close and exciting fights the team came away with three gold, one silver, two bronze and four runners-up positions.

Senior coach John Mezzetti said: 'The team were amazing on the day. They displayed great skill and technique as well as attitude and sportsmanship. For some it was their first fight and when you have hundreds of people watching, nerves can sometimes get the better. But this wasn't the case. They all handled the pressure like true champions.'
